Together they add 1.8 miles of new trails. The trailhead sits at the base of a rocky cliff and the trail goes straight up. There is space along the road for a few cars otherwise you need to park at the dam and walk back along the road. It immediately goes 150 vertical feet down the slick rock slopes of the Big Spring Canyon to reach the bottom of the canyon. The Meads Meadow Trail and the Overloop Trail provide new easy to moderate hikes that loop north off the Overlook Spur Trail, which has been extended to the new Meads Meadow Trailhead parking area. The Overlook Trail is located just east of the Eleven Mile Reservoir Dam and the Spillway Campground with a small (easy to miss) trailhead along the road. The trail starts at the end of the road and heads west.
